Most packaged food, either has a picture of the item that is inside, or, just a written description of what’s inside, like soups for instance. But then there are those other sort of companies, that add a little bit extra to the packaging to move their product. And I love them for this.

This is an example of what I mean. Someone has imagined mint leaves as sheep sitting in chairs and eating carrots. It takes a certain type of creativity to come up with this as one’s logo.

I bought this package because I wanted to try what was inside, cauliflower mushrooms. This label on the front is tiny, and at first glance seems to be a farmer holding a rifle, surrounded by happy vegetables. On closer inspection, he seems to be holding sticks, although I am not sure why. But the vegetables are definitely happy, perhaps because they are not inside the package.

This is the company’s logo which they put on everything. I didn’t buy it for the logo, but instead for the delicious spicy pickles inside. (I mean if you are going to eat pickles they should be tasty.)

Looking in the pantry, I spotted this package. I have used their products for years and never really noticed the mascot on the side. But I’m certainly glad that this package is so happy.

This one was the most enigmatic. I did not realize that giraffes liked to farm potatoes, and that they especially liked to eat said potatoes baked with lots of butter. This product is actually a delicious Japanese potato snack made with butter, so I suppose it makes sense in a way. And I admire the spirit of these companies that are creative enough to imagine their products as something special. They are right!
