And me being me, I just had to acquire a few new books (also a surprise).   So what did I end up with?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"723\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/flytippings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/books6-723x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3560\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flytippings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/books6-723x1024.jpg 723w, https:\/\/flytippings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/books6-212x300.jpg 212w, https:\/\/flytippings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/books6-768x1088.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 723px) 100vw, 723px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Okay, perhaps there might be a few clues to improve my writing in this tome, which was the reason why I was at this event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"690\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/flytippings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/books7-690x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3561\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flytippings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/books7-690x1024.jpg 690w, https:\/\/flytippings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/books7-202x300.jpg 202w, https:\/\/flytippings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/books7-768x1140.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This book was also recommended in one of the seminars, but it was the cover that really made me purchase this.  \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"674\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/flytippings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/book8-674x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3562\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flytippings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/book8-674x1024.jpg 674w, https:\/\/flytippings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/book8-198x300.jpg 198w, https:\/\/flytippings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/book8-768x1166.jpg 768w, https:\/\/flytippings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/book8.jpg 2013w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 674px) 100vw, 674px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I sat next to this writer at one of the meals, and he gave me this book because we both think that dinosaurs are cool.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At another one of the meals I sat between a writer of &#8220;scientific&#8221; vampire stories  and a writer of vampire erotica. (Scientific means that he created a plausible scenario for vampires to exist, and he deleted all of the Hollywood vampire tropes.   Watch for his series V-Wars on Netflix.)   For some reason they did not discuss the differences in their vampire stories.  \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"737\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/flytippings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/book9-737x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3563\" srcset=\"https:\/\/flytippings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/book9-737x1024.jpg 737w, https:\/\/flytippings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/book9-216x300.jpg 216w, https:\/\/flytippings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/book9-768x1068.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 737px) 100vw, 737px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I also bought this book, because he had given me the free one, so I wanted to support him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not shown are two &#8220;romance&#8221; books that I picked up.   They seemed involve erotic possibilities rather than love, and I threw them away because they were boring.  I much prefer a good murder mystery (preferably set in England, because we know how murderous the English people are).   Who knows what this says about me, perhaps I shall write a book about it for the next conference.
